I started CleanRun in 2013 after ten years as an HVAC installer in Cook and DuPage counties. The first job I ever quoted myself, I wrote the price on the back of a business card and handed it to the homeowner before I touched a single register screw. That became Haven Standard Clause 1. I still carry a borescope in my truck and spot-check jobs, because a photo record only matters if it shows real work, not vacuum noise. If I’m not on your job, I’m the one who reviews your photo record before it hits your inbox. My rule: name the measurement, name the price, name the condition found. Everything else is filler.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has run residential duct cleaning crews for eleven years, the last six with us in Elk Grove Village. He’s certified in negative-pressure extraction systems through Abatement Technologies and handles our Rotobrush and Nikro units on jobs where the plenum, the main distribution box, needs careful disassembly. Marcus grew up in Arlington Heights and still lives there with two rescue pit bulls who, he notes, generate enough fur to keep any duct system honest. Before joining us in 2021, Darnell coordinated field crews for a plumbing outfit in Des Plaines, so he knows the difference between a real dispatch and a call center reading a script. He confirms every appointment with a text that includes the technician’s name and photo, and he follows up after the job to deliver the written scope and photo record. He also tracks our equipment maintenance calendar, which means he knows exactly which Rotobrush unit is due for a brush replacement and which Nikro vac had its HEPA filter changed last Tuesday.
Anya P., Apprentice Technician
Anya joined us in 2024 after completing the HVAC program at Elgin Community College. She works every job alongside Marcus or Elena until she can run a full negative-pressure extraction solo, which we expect by late 2025. Right now she handles register removal, pre-inspection photography, and the post-job cleanup that leaves your basement looking like we were never there. Anya lives in Hoffman Estates and points out that growing up in a 1978 colonial with original ductwork gave her early education in what a dirty supply run actually looks like. Her current project: learning to read static pressure readings and explain them to homeowners without sounding like a textbook.
